February Happiness

For the month of February I will be doing something called "February Happiness". Basically, every week there will be a theme (ways to stay happy). I will blog a couple times a week, following that theme.
For the first week of February, the theme is: Having Fun

Have a friend over, do some crafts, smile. All of those things are examples of having fun. You smile when you are happy, not when you are sad. So if you are smiling you are having fun and happy.

Having fun includes playing a board game with your family.

Painting your nails:

And drawing.

Little things like that will ensure to stay happy.

Look forward to an upload later this week!

So I'm not really sure what to blog about. I know bloggers are supposed to have lots of ideas and things, but I don't.
So if you have any requests that you want me to do, please send an email to
koreym72@gmail.com, or leave a comment.
And when I say "request", I mean like, say there's something that you want to learn how to do, I can make a post that can be a simple way to do it. Or whatever. Most of the time I don't know what Im talking about! ;)

Recipe:Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Recipe: Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 cup powdered sugar,
1 2/3 cups all purpose flour,
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder,
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder,
1/4 teaspoon salt,
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature,
1 1/4 cups sugar,
2 eggs,
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract,
Sorry actually no oil used.

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F

2.Pour desired amount of powdered sugar in a bowl and set aside.

3.In a medium sized bowl, mix flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder.

4.In a large bowl, beat the sugar and butter until smooth. It takes about 2-3 min.

5. After creamy, beat 1 egg into the mixture. After that is smooth and creamy, add the other egg and vanilla.

6. Add the cocoa mixture slowly to the wet ingredients. Beat until completely mixed.

7. Take out (a) cookie sheet(s) and place parchment paper on top. (I accidentally used wax paper, but I would suggest not to. It will create a smoke storm in your house!!)

8. Take small chunks of the batter, roll in the powdered sugar, and place on sheet.

The cookies will need to cook for 10-12 min.

9. Take them out of the oven and place them on a cooling rack.

It makes approximately 3 dozen cookies.

Eat and enjoy!

If you are looking for ways to decorate your room, and you dont want to spend a bunch of money, then this will be helpful for you. These are some inexpensive (if you dont aleady have these items) ways to spice up your room!
If you put you nail polish in a jar or vase, its sure to add some syle to your room!
I know a lot of people have seen this before, but it is a trcute way to store you makeup brushes!
For this idea, all you have to do is clean out an old soup can, glue some scrapbook paper to it (or paint) then add some ribbon, lace, etc.
